Coach Baltazar has been coaching volleyball for about 9 years now. Though he never had the opportunity to play at the collegiate level, he immediately went into coaching and developed a proficiency in it. After high school, he began his coaching career as the JV head coach and into a varsity assistant role for the boys volleyball program at Reedley High School. In 2017, he was introduced as the head coach for the Caruthers High School girls volleyball program, where his teams finished at or above .500 in league play and reached the playoffs for 2 consecutive seasons. In 2019, Coach Baltazar returned back to Reedley High as a varsity assistant for the girls program and JV assistant for the boys program. During those 3 years, he helped guide the Lady Pirates to 3 league titles, a Valley Championship appearance in 2021, as well as a 1st Round State Playoff victory. 

Coach Baltazar currently resides in Reedley and is a teacher at Immanuel High School. He earned his bachelors in Kinesiology, Sports Administration from Fresno State in 2020. On his free time, he serves at The Well Community Church in Clovis, CA, enjoys golfing with family and friends, and cheers on his Bay Area teams (Giants, 49ers, Earthquakes) during their seasons!
